Opened in 1863, the Grand Hotel et de Milan preserves all the charm of an ancient Milanese “house”. The interiors, discreet and refined, conquer with the unique atmosphere of its rooms. 72 rooms and 23 suites and junior suites, enriched over the years with exclusive objects and furniture, decorated with classic elegance with parquet floors and Italian marbles in the spacious bathrooms. Minute technology is also ensured, after all this was Milan’s first hotel to offer a telegraph service. Tradition and innovation come together in our Don Carlos Restaurant, Gerry’s Bar and Caruso Restaurant with its Veranda and open air Dehors, that can satisfy the most demanding tastes. Since three generations Grand Hotel et de Milan has been managed with dedication by the Bertazzoni family. Among the many great artists, we have welcomed to our home, the great operatic composer Giuseppe Verdi decided to live and to compose here for 27 years. Our glorious Presidential Suite is completely dedicated to him. Since long time, the love for music and the Opera has permeated its rooms as a sublime leit motiv.

- Fine Dining dinner at Don Carlos Restaurant Our gourmet restaurant is full of atmosphere that is romantic by candlelight and always elegant. The name Don Carlos is a tribute to the great Maestro Verdi, who made the ‘Milan’ his home for 27 years. Walls are filled with portraits, sketches and scenes from La Scala’s Museum, the soundtrack is a collection of operatic arias. Menus are based on traditional Milanese dishes. Everything is based on seasonality and fresh market produce; each flavour is given its own voice.
